Are You Enjoying
the Ride?
As we all know, 2020 has been quite a ride … and we still have more to go through. I have certainly felt like I have been on a roller coaster in the last week or so. We have a global pandemic, the unveiling of so many systems, places and people, elections in the US and who knows what else will come our way. On top of all of this, the planets are creating different energies for us with both Mars and Mercury in retrograde and a new moon!!
Even if we didn’t have all of the madness going on, life is still filled with ups and downs. Nothing is static nor do you want it to be. Everything in life is energy and energy is always moving. The question I’d like to ask you is: Are you enjoying the ride?
How do you ride a roller coaster at an amusement park? Do you put your hands up in the air, smile, laugh and scream OR do you hold on for dear life, close your eyes sometimes and pray for the end to come soon? Certainly, roller coasters aren’t for everyone … and that’s fine. How you approach the roller coaster may very well be reflected in how you approach life.
As you go through the ups and downs in your day/week/month/year (especially 2020!) … are you able to find the joy, laughter and abundance? Letting go and not sweating the small stuff is a GREAT way to do this. I know this is easier said than done. It’s certainly worth observing how you respond to things. If you are worried/stressed about something, is it something that you can control? If it is, what can you do to make things better? IF NOT, learn to let it go. Things you can do: move your body and spend time in nature, pray and meditate. These are all excellent tools.
Do you need to change your perspective? The ability to make lemonade from lemons is key for stress reduction and overall happiness. I believe that everything happens for a reason, even when it is not always evident in the moment. I find that my life always ‘works out’, even when it isn’t the way I imagined it. If you’re familiar with Mike Dooley (Notes From the Universe guy), he talks about the ‘cursed hows’ and NOT to worry about them.
There is also the expression and book called, don’t sweat the small stuff. This is key. What is REALLY important in your life? Your health, happiness, family … having a home and food to eat? Once the basics are covered, sharing your unique gift with the world. I have found in my travels around the world, this is the same around the globe. Every parent I have met dreams that their children will be happy and healthy … have an education and an opportunity for a better life.
Things to avoid/minimize: stay away from the news/media, social media, toxic people and places can help. Letting go of these things opens up time, space and energy to bring in more goodness and positivity.
Self care is key to being able to do all of this. It’s like recharging your battery. The more charged you are (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) the more you have to give, the more you can BE. The easier it is to ride the roller coaster and enjoy it. In the Ready For Change community we work on mastering the foundation of health so you have the energy and drive to create the life you dream of.
