Thanks for stopping by The Holistic Shabang

My name is Tracey. I have worn many different hats in many different places: human resources in a bank, living and traveling overseas extensively, teaching English as a Second Language,  back to the US, being a single mom, immersed in the natural healing world and now … back in the international world. All of these experiences along with decades of personal development work give me a unique outlook on life and as a coach.

Some of my favorite things:  I’m a yogi, love all things in the water, hiking and bicycling.  Maya and I are both foodies (loving raw fish: sushi, sashimi and ceviche) and love the food aspect of traveling SO MUCH.

Food as medicine (while also being a donut connoisseur ~ so important to still have fun!), essential oils, massage and all kinds of body work (as I’m also a massage therapist), never ending learning, adventure/exploration, nature and loving on the environment, reading, writing and photography are also some of my favs … you know how it goes, the list is never ending.

I’m a momma to Maya my gorgeous, mercurial 18 year old.  She is artistic and intuitive. We have found the mainstream school system has never really spoken to her.  Prior to high school, she was always in alternative educational philosophies (language immersion, Waldorf and Montessori schools!).  She went to a charter high school for about 3 months and has been unschooling and worldschooling since then.  It’s been amazing how much her understanding of herself and the world has changed in such a short period of time.

In December 2016, we sold our house in Portland, Oregon and got rid of most everything we own and moved to Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.  This was the BEST. DECISION. EVER. We have mostly been based in Indonesia since then but have traveled a bit in Europe and Asia. We have stopped making big plans (especially related to travel and where to live) as they have changed so much.  Now we’re just going with the flow and seeing where life takes us.

I am often told by clients and people I meet that I’m so interesting or that I have such an interesting life (I’m not saying this to brag …  but to make a point).

I’m not doing anything outrageous EXCEPT following my heart.  I’m not doing what society tells me I should be doing (because I would have been miserable if I would have stayed in corporate America in my 20s).   You too can create the life of your dreams.  I believe the first step is getting healthy, which gives you so much freedom, grace and ease.

The Holistic Shabang is a fun way to share all of my worlds all in one place; travel interspersed with health, wealth,  spirit and who knows what else. My mission is to inspire you to reach your optimal health and energy levels so that you can see your value and share your gifts with the world.
